Requirement for pilot
Ships exceeding 200 ton gross weight or ships measured by gross weight having an overall length ex-ceeding 35 metres require a pilot for passage under the Oddesund bridge.
Ships with a displacement exceeding 3.10 metres require a pilot for sailing into the dredged channels at Draget and Mejlgrunden and over Løgstør Shoal.

Ships exceeding 800 ton gross weight or ships measured by gross weight having an overall length ex-ceeding 80 metres also require a pilot under bridges in Aalborg.

Tankers exceeding 1,500 TDW sailing with load or with uncleaned tanks require a pilot for all of the Limfjord.

The bridges can be contacted on VHF kanal 16.

All bridges can be opened around the clock without costs. The Odde-sund bridge has 24 hour service while night passage of all other bridges must be booked before the bridge attendant goes home. (Aggersund and Vildsund before sunset and the Aalborg bridges be-fore 21.00/19.00 hrs)
